Forum Dialogue “Our Produce, Our Strength – Strong Agriculture for a Secure Latvia”

This autumn, the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), in cooperation with the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre (LLKC), invites participants to attend the forum-dialogue “Our Produce, Our Strength – Strong Agriculture for a Secure Latvia”. The event continues the series of regional conferences on the Agricultural Growth Plan for 2026–2036 launched in the spring.

The autumn events will differ significantly from the format of the spring conferences. Instead of traditional conferences featuring presentations and panel discussions on stage, they will take the form of more open and informal conversations. The aim is to listen to and understand one another: to discuss the roadmap developed for farmers and what they can expect in the context of the Growth Plan; the messages conveyed by the sectoral strategies developed over the summer; and what is needed to ensure the successful implementation of the Growth Plan as a whole, taking into account the specific circumstances of each region.

In the spring, the MoA and LLKC organised the regional conferences “Towards Healthy Agriculture”, where the Agricultural Growth Plan for 2026–2036 was presented and the challenges of its implementation at both sectoral and farm levels were discussed. During the summer, the agricultural sectors worked actively on developing their respective strategies within the framework of the Plan.

Farmers, representatives of agricultural cooperatives, processing companies and sectoral non-governmental organisations are invited to participate in each of the four events and make their voices heard.
