The original Pastor's House dates all the way back to the 17th century, and we’ve restored the building with particular care and respect toward its historical heritage.

Originally built as a residence for the pastor of St. John’s Church, the house later became a school and is considered the oldest Latvian school building in Cēsis. Traces of its lively school days have been preserved and are open for every guest of the Pastor’s House to discover. During the building’s restoration, on the wall facing the Cēsis Castle tower, we uncovered and restored drawings carved by pupils more than 150 years ago.

The Pastor’s House has been lovingly restored, keeping its unique character and charm – each façade tells its own story, just as it has for centuries. Inside, the historic atmosphere blends seamlessly with modern comforts, creating a welcoming space that every guest can enjoy.
