Eyewitness. Encounter with antiquity

Cēsis Old Town. On one side – St. John's Church. On the other – Cēsis Castle and its defensive wall.

This place is empty on old maps. But archaeologists find ancient wooden buildings, burials, and valuable evidence that takes you back to the Middle Ages and proves how old Cēsis is.

We will be building a new building here, it will be part of the future “Konrāda kvartāls”. In order for the construction to take place, archaeological research must be carried out.
